Try Garage AI ("App") is developed and maintained by MAMIN Boubaker ("we", "us", "our"), an independent solo developer acting in a personal capacity. "Mamin Labs" is a personal brand name used for publishing this project — it is not a registered company, has no legal entity status, and has no employees. The official website trygarage.maminlabs.com is a subdomain of maminlabs.com; both domains are personally owned and managed by MAMIN Boubaker as an individual.
This Privacy Policy provides a comprehensive and transparent disclosure of what data is collected, how it is used, with whom it is shared, how long it is retained, and what rights you have — in compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable international data protection laws.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Privacy-by-Design: Try Garage AI is built on the principle of data minimization. We collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver the service — no personal accounts, no emails, and no names are required. The primary identifier is a pseudonymous Device ID. We recognize that a Device ID and similar online identifiers can qualify as personal data under laws such as the GDPR; we process such data only for the limited purposes described in this policy.
The following is a complete list of all data types collected by Try Garage AI, categorized by source and purpose.
We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any personal identifiers, and we never require any personal identifier to use the App. We do not collect: payment card numbers, bank details, or financial account information. We do not collect: precise or approximate location data, GPS coordinates, contacts, call logs, SMS messages, microphone audio, biometric data, or health data of any kind. We do not access your contacts and do not require broad contact permissions. The only exception is text you voluntarily type into the optional vehicle-details fields (§2.5), which we treat as content of your video — not as an identity record.
When you use the vehicle presentation video feature, you may voluntarily type vehicle details: a display name, price, mileage, engine, transmission, fuel type, and a contact line. These fields are free text that you control — we do not require, verify, or extract any personal information from them. They are used solely to render text into your generated video, are transmitted to the AI provider and/or rendered server-side for that single job, and are automatically deleted from our servers when the video is delivered (they are never retained after the generation job completes). Note that the text you enter is embedded into the video file itself, which is delivered to your device.
Important: the details you enter become a permanent, visible part of the video file itself — anyone you share the video with will see them. Do not enter information about other people without their permission, and only enter contact details you intend to make public.
All data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:
We do not use your data for: advertising, marketing, user profiling, behavioral targeting, selling to third parties, AI model training, or any purpose beyond what is listed above.
Transparency about data sharing is critical. Below is a complete disclosure of every third party that receives any data from the App, what data is shared, and why.

We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise commercially transfer any user data to any third party for any reason — including for advertising, marketing, analytics resale, data brokerage, or any other commercial purpose.
The App contains no advertisements. No data is shared with advertising networks, ad brokers, or marketing platforms. No behavioral profiles are created.
We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Try Garage AI, its users, or the public. Because we rely on pseudonymous identifiers and practice data minimization, any such disclosure would contain very limited information and no directly identifying details such as names, emails, or addresses.
When you voluntarily submit a report via the in-app reporting feature (the Report button displayed with every generated result), the reported AI-generated content (image, video reference, or 3D model), your selected report category, any optional written details you provide, and your pseudonymous Device ID are securely transmitted to and temporarily stored in Firebase Storage (Google LLC) solely for content safety review by the developer. Reported content is stored in Firebase (Google LLC), which acts as our storage provider, and is reviewed only by the developer; it is not shared with any AI provider, advertiser, or analytics partner, and is not disclosed to any other third party except where strictly required by applicable law. Full details of the reporting process, data retention, and your deletion rights are set out in §6.5.
Certain features publish content at your explicit request:
Anyone who obtains such a link during its lifetime can view that content. Do not use these features for content you wish to keep private.
The App relies on the following third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each service is operated by an independent company with its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
All links within the App serve only legitimate technical or informational purposes — documentation, policy pages, content information ("more info" links on catalog items), or customer support. No in-app links are used for advertising or affiliate promotions. The "Try in Game" button opens a browser page on our own domain solely to let you test your generated 3D model (see §4.5) — it is a technical preview tool, not an advertising or commercial destination. Our website maminlabs.com and its subdomains may independently contain informational or commercial content separate from the App.
Firebase Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as screen views and feature counts) to help us improve the App. It does not collect names, emails, or contact details. The Android "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting affects Google's advertising identifier system-wide but does not by itself disable Firebase Analytics collection. Because analytics is integral to how the App operates and improves, there is no separate in-app analytics toggle; if you do not wish analytics to be collected at all, please discontinue use of the App. Crash reporting is separate and has a real in-app toggle (see below), and is disabled by default.
Crash reporting is controlled directly inside the App. To disable or enable it, open Try Garage AI → Settings → Privacy → Crash Reporting and use the toggle. Crash reporting is disabled by default and only collects anonymous crash data if you explicitly enable it.
Additional disclosures required by Google appear in the Data Safety section of our Google Play Store listing. Those disclosures complement this policy and reflect the same data practices described here.
Important: When you use an AI transformation, your vehicle photo is transmitted to an external AI provider for processing. This section explains exactly what happens.
Your vehicle photos are processed by one of the following external AI providers depending on the feature used and availability:
All providers process images under their respective API Terms of Service. The complete disclosure, including which providers handle which feature, is in §6.7.
We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we select AI providers whose published API terms state that customer API data is not used to train or improve their models (the stated position of, among others, Google's Gemini API and OpenAI's API). We cannot, however, control or guarantee the independent practices of external providers: some providers may retain content briefly for service delivery, safety monitoring, or abuse prevention under their own terms. Processing by each provider is governed by that provider's own policies, which we encourage you to review via the links in §05.
When you request a generation, your photo is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS and held in a temporary, access-restricted storage area on our servers only for the duration of the generation job. The moment your job finishes — whether it succeeds or fails — the uploaded photo is automatically deleted. An independent scheduled cleanup additionally guarantees that any temporary upload is removed from our servers within a maximum of one (1) hour, even if a job crashes mid-way. Server-side copies of all generated results — images, videos, and 3D models — are automatically deleted approximately 3 minutes after the result is delivered to your device; your device keeps its own local copy, which remains fully under your control. See §09 for the complete retention table.
These deletion timelines apply to copies held on our own servers and Firebase. External AI providers, API gateways, and their backup systems may retain content for their own limited periods (for example, for safety or abuse monitoring) under their respective terms — periods we do not control. Copies you save to your device, or content you publish via a share link, remain under your control until you remove them.
In compliance with Google Play's AI-Generated Content Policy, Try Garage AI provides an accessible in-app mechanism allowing users to report any AI-generated result they consider offensive, inappropriate, or unexpected — without needing to exit the App.
The Report feature covers every kind of AI-generated content in the App: result images, generated videos, and generated 3D models. When you report a 3D model, a copy of the model file is uploaded with your report so it can be reviewed; when you report a video, a reference to the exact video is included.
By submitting a report, you explicitly consent to the following: temporary storage of the reported image in Firebase Storage (Google LLC) for the purpose of content safety review; review of the report by the developer; retention of the report data for a maximum of 90 days, after which it is permanently and automatically deleted; and that the reported image will never be shared with any AI provider, advertiser, analytics partner, or any other third party — except where disclosure is strictly required by applicable law.
Reports are stored under your pseudonymous Device ID alongside the selected report category and any additional detail you provided. You may request deletion of any submitted report at any time via the methods described in §12. A valid data deletion request will remove all report records still within the 90-day retention window.
Before any AI transformation is performed for the first time, the App displays a clear in-app consent dialog explaining that:
You must explicitly tap "Continue" to continue. Your consent is stored locally on your device and the dialog will not be shown again unless the App is reinstalled or its data is cleared. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing the App's data via Settings → Apps → Try Garage AI → Storage → Clear Data; on the next launch, the consent dialog will appear again before any AI processing can occur.
Depending on the feature used and provider availability, your images (and, for presentation videos, the vehicle details you entered) may be processed by one of the following external AI services, some of which are reached through third-party API gateways:

Each provider processes data under its own terms of service. We select providers whose published API terms state that customer API data is not used to train their models; nevertheless, processing by these providers is governed by their respective terms, which we encourage you to review (links in §05). We may add or replace providers to maintain service quality; this section is updated when we do.
To deliver its core features, the App requests the following device permissions. Each permission is requested only when needed and can be revoked at any time via your device Settings — though doing so may limit certain features.

The App does not request and has no access to: your location (GPS/network), contacts, microphone, phone/call logs, SMS messages, calendar, body sensors, Bluetooth, background location, or any health/fitness data.
You may revoke any granted permission at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → Try Garage AI → Permissions. Revoking permissions may limit certain features (e.g., revoking camera permission means you can only upload photos from gallery).
The App includes an optional 3D live wallpaper that renders your generated car on your device's home screen. It uses the standard Android live-wallpaper mechanism (a system-bound service) and renders entirely on your device — it does not collect, upload, or transmit any additional personal data, and requires no user-data permissions. You can enable or disable it at any time from your device's wallpaper settings. Because live wallpapers are managed by your device's operating system, its availability and persistence depend on your device (see our Terms §16.5 regarding device behavior and performance).
All in-app purchases of Pixel credits are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing.
Google Play Billing handles all payment processing, subscription management, and refund processing. Your payment data is governed exclusively by Google Payments Privacy Notice and Google Play Terms of Service.
We retain data only as long as necessary for the stated purpose. Below are the specific retention periods for each data type.

The periods above apply to data held on our own servers and Firebase. External AI providers, API gateways, email providers, and backup systems may retain data for their own periods under their terms and technical requirements — periods we do not control. Local copies you save on your device remain under your control.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to addressing any breach promptly.
Your Device ID is the only key to your Pixels balance and your data within the App. Anyone with physical access to your device can use the App, spend Pixels, or delete your data. Keep your device protected with a screen lock and do not share unlocked access with others. We are not responsible for any actions taken — including data deletion, Pixel consumption, or transformations — by anyone who has access to your unlocked device or who otherwise gains access to your Device ID. We do not share your Device ID with anyone, and you should not share it either.
Try Garage AI is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the App, contact us at trygarage_support@maminlabs.com and we will promptly delete any associated data.
Some features rely on third-party AI providers whose own terms of service may set a higher minimum age (for example, 18) for the use of their services. By using an AI feature, you confirm that you meet any age requirement imposed by the applicable provider for that feature.
The App's AI is designed exclusively to generate vehicle-related imagery (paint styles, tires, wheels, accessories, vehicle videos, and 3D vehicle models). Our system enforces strict content filtering and abuse detection that blocks all inappropriate, adult, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable visual content. AI outputs are constrained to safe, vehicle-focused transformations: free-text input is limited to the optional vehicle-detail fields and paint-code entry, is sanitized server-side, and is never used as an unrestricted AI prompt.
Even though we collect only limited, pseudonymous data, you have the right to request deletion of all data associated with your Device ID at any time.
Visit trygarage.maminlabs.com/delete-data — paste your Device ID and submit. All data associated with your Device ID is permanently removed.
Email trygarage_support@maminlabs.com with subject "Data Deletion Request" and include your Device ID. We will process your request and send a confirmation reply within 30 days.
Because your Device ID is the only key to your data, we must protect you against malicious deletion requests made by someone who is not you. For requests submitted via the website or email, we may verify that the Device ID belongs to you before deleting: where reasonable doubt exists, we may send a one-time verification code as a push notification to the device holding that ID and ask you to repeat it back to us. This is an identity-confirmation safeguard permitted under GDPR Article 12(6), applied only when needed and never to delay a legitimate request. We encourage you to use the in-app deletion (Method 1) first — it runs from your own authenticated device, requires no verification, and takes effect instantly. In-app deletion is additionally protected server-side: a deletion can only be performed from the device session that owns the Device ID.
Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your Pixels balance will be forfeited and cannot be recovered. If you continue using the App after deletion, your existing Device ID will start with a fresh empty state.
Fraud Prevention Exception: A truncated version of your Device ID (with the last 16 characters removed) is retained on our servers solely to prevent repeated fraudulent claims of free Pixels. This partial identifier cannot identify you personally and is not shared with advertisers or AI providers.
What deletion reaches — and what it cannot: deletion removes your data from our servers and Firebase. It does not retroactively reach: content already processed and independently retained by external AI providers or gateways under their own terms; copies you saved to your device or published via a share link (remove those yourself); records already backed up by our infrastructure providers, which age out on their own cycles; and limited records we are permitted or required to keep for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or accounting.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local data protection laws apply to your use of the App.

Our services rely on Firebase and Google Gemini AI (Google LLC, United States) and OpenAI GPT Image (OpenAI, Inc., United States). Both Google and OpenAI process data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and their own GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements, ensuring lawful cross-border transfers under GDPR Chapter V. The additional AI providers and API gateways listed in §6.7 (Krea, Tripo3D, Meshy, APIYI, LaoZhang) may also process images on servers located outside the EEA, under their respective terms; images sent to them contain no personal identifiers and are processed transiently for the single requested generation.
Try Garage AI relies on pseudonymous identifiers and applies privacy-by-design and data minimization throughout the App. We do not collect names, emails, or contact details as account data. Where the information we process qualifies as personal data under GDPR Article 4(1) — such as online identifiers — we process it only on the legal bases and for the purposes set out in this section.
